Four Models. 1,050 Units. A Moment in Time.
To commemorate its 125th anniversary, Indian Motorcycle has unveiled a globally limited collection of four motorcycles, each hand-finished and individually serialised:
- Chief Vintage 125th Anniversary Edition – 250 units worldwide
- Scout Bobber 125th Anniversary Edition – 450 units worldwide
- Challenger 125th Anniversary Edition – 250 units worldwide
- Roadmaster 125th Anniversary Edition – 100 units worldwide
Total global production: 1,050 motorcycles.
That figure alone underlines the exclusivity of this collection — especially the Roadmaster, with just 100 units allocated worldwide.
More Than Paint — A Crafted Tribute
All four anniversary editions are unified by a bespoke finish known as 125th Anniversary Red with Black Crystal.
This is not a standard colourway.
The base layer begins with Indian’s iconic red — a tone woven into the brand’s racing and production heritage — before being elevated through a multi-stage process incorporating metallic micro-flake layering. Under natural light, the finish shifts in depth and dimension, delivering a visual presence described internally as unlike anything else in the lineup.
Integrated within the paint are ghosted pinstripes reading:
“ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.”
These details are embedded within the paintwork — not surface-applied decals — reinforcing the craftsmanship message Indian is leaning into heavily this year.
Each motorcycle also carries:
- Exclusive 125th Anniversary badging
- A unique serial number plate
- Anniversary-stitched seats
- Factory-installed premium componentry
And across the range, Indian includes its RIDE COMMAND+ infotainment system, allowing riders to operate navigation, audio, vehicle data and connected services via touchscreen or hand controls.
Model-by-Model Breakdown
Chief Vintage 125th Anniversary Edition
Production: 250 units globally
The Chief Vintage represents the most overt nod to Indian’s early lineage. Floating seat, wire wheels, valanced fenders, vintage bars — the silhouette could sit comfortably in a 1940s photograph.
Underneath, however, it is entirely modern.
Powered by the Thunderstroke 116 engine producing 120 ft-lbs (156 Nm) of torque, the Anniversary Edition adds:
- Pathfinder Adaptive LED headlight
- Polished rider floorboards
- Custom anniversary-stitched seat
- 4-inch RIDE COMMAND display
This model feels intentionally heritage-focused — a bridge between Springfield-era styling and modern rideability.

Scout Bobber 125th Anniversary Edition
Production: 450 units globally
The Scout name has its own mythology, and the Bobber variant has become one of the most recognisable shapes in the modern Indian lineup.
The Anniversary Edition retains the 1250cc SpeedPlus engine delivering 111 horsepower, but receives:
- Anniversary paint and serialisation
- Pathfinder LED headlight
- Bobbed fenders
- Eight-spoke precision-machined wheels
- Stitched anniversary seat
- 4-inch RIDE COMMAND display
Mechanically unchanged — but visually elevated, and positioned as the most accessible entry into the anniversary collection.

Challenger 125th Anniversary Edition
Production: 250 units globally
Powered by the race-proven PowerPlus 112, the same engine platform that delivered King of the Baggers championships, the Challenger Anniversary Edition blends touring practicality with performance DNA.
Enhancements include:
- Exclusive anniversary badging
- Custom-stitched two-up seat
- PowerBand Audio system
- Saddlebag accent lighting
- Polished rider and passenger floorboards
- Backlit switch cubes
- Tinted Flare windscreen
- Five-spoke precision-machined wheels
Firmly in premium territory — and reinforces Indian’s current performance-forward positioning.

Roadmaster 125th Anniversary Edition
Production: 100 units globally
The rarest motorcycle in the entire collection.
The Roadmaster Anniversary Edition features:
- Thunderstroke 116 engine
- PowerBand Audio
- Polished rider and passenger floorboards
- Custom heated and cooled two-up seat
- Colour-matched engine finishes
- Classic fork-mounted fairing
- Valanced front fender
It represents Indian’s luxury touring flagship — and arguably the most traditional interpretation of what a 125th Anniversary machine should be.

The EMEA Question
While all four models have been presented globally, current EMEA communications reference three anniversary bikes, with the Roadmaster not currently listed in regional materials.
Given the Roadmaster’s extremely limited 100-unit global production, allocation appears to be highly selective.
Naturally, this has raised questions among European and UK riders:
- Is the Roadmaster Anniversary Edition coming to EMEA?
- Has allocation already been assigned elsewhere?
- Does this reflect a strategic regional focus under the new stand-alone company structure?
At present, no formal clarification has been issued regarding EMEA availability.
It is worth noting that this launch coincides with Indian Motorcycle’s transition into a new stand-alone company under Carolwood. Product strategy, allocation decisions and regional positioning may still be evolving.
What is clear is that demand will significantly exceed supply.

Heritage and Forward Momentum
Indian Motorcycle’s 125th Anniversary arrives during a pivotal chapter.
The brand is no longer in revival mode.
It is racing again.
It is leading in bagger performance.
It is repositioning globally.
And it is operating under new ownership with renewed strategic focus.
If 1901 represented innovation, and the rebirth era represented survival, then 2026 feels like something else:
Confidence.
The 125th Anniversary Collection is not just about paint and badges. It is about reinforcing identity at a time when the brand is redefining its future.
For collectors, these 1,050 motorcycles may become reference pieces decades from now.
For riders, they represent something more immediate — proof that a brand founded in 1901 still has relevance, ambition, and presence in 2026.
Half of America’s modern history has unfolded alongside Indian Motorcycle.
And if the message of this anniversary year is to be believed, the brand considers itself far from finished.
