The first Bike Night at The Last Post in Thornaby begins on Friday 6 March at 5pm, continuing every Friday thereafter.
This is more than a pub meet. The Last Post Memorial Bar and The Don War Memorial Museum & Hub is a highly regarded veterans’ venue, is highly rated by hundreds of visitors, and described by many as one of the best veteran community venues in the UK.
The premises are filled floor to ceiling with military memorabilia, representing all three services. Alongside the bar sits a dedicated museum, with guided tours available and stories of service and sacrifice woven throughout the building. Visitors regularly describe it as a “hidden gem” and a place you simply can’t take in fully on one visit.
The venue has become a valued meeting place for veterans — somewhere to reconnect, share memories, and feel genuinely welcome. Hosts are consistently praised for their warmth, hospitality and commitment to the local community.
