IMRG Black Forest South

Affiliated Dealership: Hollister’s MotorCycles, Dauchingen

Some chapters are built from the top down. IMRG Black Forest South was built from the road up.

It started simply enough — a handful of Indian riders in the southern Black Forest who enjoyed each other’s company and shared a passion for the road. Good people. People with character. And from the very beginning, something about the group felt different. Not just another riding club. Something with a little more heart to it.

Chris Wenger had been riding Indian for several years and was already an active member of the original IMRG Black Forest, based at Hollister’s MotorCycles in Dauchingen on the other side of the mountain. But the southern Black Forest is its own world — different roads, different landscape, different community — and Chris had gradually built up a local group of riders who wanted to represent and live the Indian spirit on their side of the forest.

What began as an informal local riding group caught the attention of Hollister’s MotorCycles and IMRG Europe. The support was immediate, strong, and direct. On 1 February 2026, IMRG Black Forest South became an official chapter — and a new piece of Indian Motorcycle history in Germany was written.

Hollister’s MotorCycles — A Dealership With Its Own Story

The chapter’s supporting dealer, Hollister’s MotorCycles, is one of the most respected Indian Motorcycle dealerships in Germany. Founded by Volker Sichler in 1988 in Zimmern-Horgen near Rottweil, the business has grown steadily over more than three decades — from custom Harley conversions in the 1980s to becoming an authorised Indian Motorcycle dealer in 2014, the same year they moved to their current location at Schwenningerstraße 27 in Dauchingen.

Today Hollister’s is a Gold Master-Elite-Class certified Indian dealer — a certification achieved in 2019 — offering sales, workshop, service, accessories, test rides, and a custom bike operation that has produced some genuinely remarkable machines over the years, including the famous Indian Mohwak, their first Scout-based custom build.

The dealership is also home to the original IMRG Black Forest chapter, which has grown to around 500 members since its founding in 2014. IMRG Black Forest South carries that same spirit and that same heritage — just on the other side of the mountain.

The Southern Black Forest

To ride the southern Black Forest is to understand immediately why riders come here from across Europe. The landscape is extraordinary — dense forest, sweeping valley roads, high passes, and panoramic views that stretch into Switzerland and France on a clear day. The roads are a motorcyclist’s dream: flowing, technical, varied, and rarely straight for long.

IMRG Black Forest South has this on its doorstep, and the group makes full use of it. With around ten Indian riders plus partners and Indian fans — fifteen in total — it is a tight, close-knit group that rides together with genuine enthusiasm and continues to grow.

Built on Trust

What defines IMRG Black Forest South, in Chris’s own words, is the honesty and strength of the relationships at its heart — between riders, between the group and its dealer, and between members old and new.

The chapter is young. Founded in February 2026, it is just finding its feet. But the foundation it has been built on — a genuine community of riders who chose each other before they chose a name — is exactly the kind of foundation that lasts.

Two new members have already joined since the official founding. More will follow.
